Product Description

Insulation adhesive is a core auxiliary material in the installation and construction of insulation materials. Its main function is to fix insulation boards, rolls and other insulation products on the surfaces of building walls, roofs or industrial equipment, while enhancing the integrity and stability of the entire insulation system. Its specific functions are divided into the following 4 points:

Firm Bonding and Fixation

This is its most fundamental function. Insulation adhesive has strong adhesion, which can adapt to different substrate materials (such as concrete, metal, color steel plates) and firmly bond insulation materials like aluminum silicate, XPS extruded boards and rubber-plastic products. It can replace some mechanical fasteners, prevent the insulation layer from falling off or hollowing, and is especially suitable for insulation construction of irregular equipment and complex structures.

Sealing, Leak-proofing and Thermal Insulation

After curing, the adhesive forms a dense sealing layer, which fills the gaps between insulation materials and the clearances between the insulation layer and the substrate. It blocks the channels of air convection and heat conduction, reduces the thermal bridge effect, thereby improving the overall thermal insulation performance and lowering energy consumption.

Moisture-proof, Anti-seepage and Protection

High-quality insulation adhesive usually has waterproof and moisture-proof properties. After curing, it can prevent external water vapor from penetrating into the insulation layer, avoiding the increase of thermal conductivity and the decline of insulation performance caused by damp insulation materials. Meanwhile, it protects the substrate material from corrosion and extends the service life of the insulation system.

Enhancing System Integrity

For large-area insulation projects, insulation adhesive can connect scattered insulation boards and rolls into a whole. It improves the wind resistance and seismic capacity of the insulation system, reduces thermal expansion and contraction deformation caused by temperature changes, and ensures the long-term stability of the insulation effect.
